Texas Style Barbecue
Travis Dickey, Sr. developed the original menu in 1941 with beef brisket, pit hams and barbecue beans. The menu has expanded, but holds true to the original Texas-style barbecue. Catering and take-out options are also available and there are three main menu options:
• Sandwich Plates, starting at $6.69
• Meat Plates, starting at $8.99
• Kids’ Meals, $3.99
Interior: A cozy, casual country atmosphere is indulged at every location.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily

History: Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is family owned and operated with more than 250 locations in 43 states. The original Dallas location is still open for business.
